Countertop Choices

Prod Granite

Granite is one of the hardest materials known to man. There are infinite choices and colors to compliment any design. Material is either 1 1/4" or 3/4" thick and can be fabricated with one of many different edge profiles. It looks great in any room in the house.

Prod Stone

Engineered Stone is a composite material of resins, polymers and quartz that are compressed into slabs and fabricated like granite. Consistent and predictable, this non-porous material wears much like granite and does not have to be sealed.

Prod Corian

For a totally seamless look, Solid Surface is still the top of countertop choices. Fabricated into a 1 1/2" thick top, sinks can be under-mounted and cove backsplashes are a seamless solution for the homeowner who prefers a softer look.

Prod Woodtop

Wood Veneer (shown here) and Laminate are still a great affordable option for any space. With thousands of choices and many edge options, laminate and wood veneer countertops can add a nice, yet cost-effective look to a kitchen, bath, office or bar.

Cultured Marble or Onyx is a wonderful choice for a bathroom. With a built-in sink and backsplash, these options come in standard sizes and can be installed in a matter of days.

Design Tip: Countertops

Dtips Counter

Your choice of a countertop can add an important design element to your kitchen. Laminate selections are vast and can add unusual interest when done with a beveled or wood edge profile. Engineered stone, which is fabricated like granite, boosts a consistent pattern and nonporous surface, which may best suit your lifestyle and space. Solid surface products enable you to specify a countertop with no visible seams. Granite can be one of the more exciting selections and is one of the hardest materials known to man. Make sure you look at current samples, as the stone will vary depending on the quarry and date it was mined.
